About me -
Dominique Sherhod
Before training as a counsellor, I spent over ten years working in the corporate world. While this experience gave me valuable
insight into workplace pressures and expectations, it also left me feeling disconnected and unfulfilled. It took me some time to recognise that these feelings were valid and worth listening to. The journey to becoming a counsellor was one of learning to trust my intuition and living more authentically.
Now, I support clients who are facing overwhelm from feeling trapped by expectations, life transitions, relationship difficulties, burnout, a desire to find a new direction in life and those who may be struggling with self confidence or body image. I understand what it feels like to question things and to be standing at a crossroads without a clear map. I don't have all the answers, but I’ll sit beside you while you find yours. I come from a place of compassion and a deep belief that change is possible when we feel truly seen and heard.
I am a qualified therapist and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work within the BACP's Ethical Framework to ensure safe practice. I am fully insured, have ongoing clinical supervision and undertake continued professional development each year to enhance my knowledge. I also hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (DBS).
